About VitVio

VitVio is building AI-powered tools to simplify and streamline operating room workflows, so surgical teams can focus on what really matters—patient care. Our platform uses computer vision and context-aware AI to understand actions happening in the OR in real time. From automatically logging surgical stages to coordinating team readiness, we take on the administrative load so clinical staff don’t have to.

Our team has experience founding and scaling leading companies in adjacent industries. We're growing quickly—backed by top-tier investors—and working with some of the most respected hospitals in the US and Europe.

About the Opportunity

We're hiring a part-time Product Designer to join the Product & Design team at VitVio on a contract basis starting in mid July early August until end of December. Hours are flexible and can scale based on project needs and your availability. The role includes occasional travel to partner hospitals to support user research and product deployment.

You'll help define how surgical and hospital teams experience our tools — designing intuitive, high-impact interfaces that cut through complex clinical workflows and directly support better patient outcomes.

This is a role for someone who goes deep. You'll explore problems thoroughly, prototype solutions, test with real users, and iterate until the details are right. Expect to work across the full product lifecycle, from early discovery and research through to high-fidelity design and delivery.

Day-to-day, you'll work closely with clinicians, engineers, and product stakeholders — balancing strong usability with the technical and clinical constraints of the environment. Design is central to how we build at VitVio, and you'll have real influence over the product through your craft.

The role is remote-first, based in European time zones, with occasional on-site visits to hospital partners. Travel expenses are covered, and a laptop can be provided for the duration of the contract.

Start date: Mid-July to early August

End date: End of December 2026

What You’ll Do

During that time, you will:

  • Drive product design end-to-end, from discovery and user research to prototyping and delivery.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and clinical teams to understand user needs and improve workflows.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing, including occasional hospital visits to support deployments and gather feedback.

  • Work closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation.

  • Help evolve our design system and champion user-centered design across the company.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Strong UX execution skills across research, interaction design

  • Comfortable owning work independently while collaborating closely with a cross-functional team

  • Ability to turn ambiguity into clarity — breaking down complex workflows into intuitive experiences

  • Clear communicator (visual, written, and verbal)

  • Proficient in tools like Figma, with experience using tools such as Dovetail, Mixpanel, and prototyping platforms

  • Experience contributing to design systems (you don’t need to lead one, but should be comfortable working within and improving one)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
